Score Type

The Score Type Master is used to define and manage different formats or types of academic and evaluation scores, such as CGPA, Percentage, Grade, or Marks. It standardises how scores are captured and displayed across modules like Candidates and Employees.

By defining score types, the system ensures consistent representation of educational and assessment scores, improves data accuracy, and supports better comparison.

Examples of Score Types

Score Type

Description

CGPA

Cumulative Grade Point Average (e.g., 8.5/10).

Percentage

Score expressed in percentage (e.g., 75%).

Grade

Score represented as grades (e.g., A, B, C).

Marks

Score expressed as numerical marks (e.g., 450/600).

GPA

Grade Point Average used in some education systems.

To navigate to the Score Type Master, follow the steps below:

  • Click on the Profile picture and select Administrator from the drop-down menu.
  • Click on Master Data from the left navigation panel and select Score Type under Candidate.

  • Click on the (+) add button on the top left.
  • Enter the required fields and click Save.
  • Click on the three-dot button placed in front of each score type to edit or delete it.

Add Score Type – Save

  • You can select the newly created Score Type from the Score Type drop-down in the Education section on the candidate or employee summary page.
