FAQ: Updating a User’s Email Address in XeopleRecruit

1. Can I update a user’s email address myself?

No. XR does not allow direct email changes because it can affect history, permissions, and system records.


2. How do I update a user’s email address?

Email support@xeople.com with:

  • Old email

  • New email

  • User name

  • Reason for the change

Support will escalate it to the backend team to safely update.


3. What if the account hasn’t been used yet?

If the user has no activity, the backend team can update the email with no risk.
Just confirm this in your request.


4. What if the account has been used?

If activity exists, the safer option may be:

  • Make the old account inactive, and

  • Create a new XR login with the correct email.

Support will advise based on your scenario.


5. How long does the update take?

Usually same day or next business day, depending on queue.
