Enhancement - Notes Across Application

This release brings significant improvements to the Notes feature across the application, enhancing its functionality and user experience. Also, we have redesigned the Notes UI across the application. The representation of data in the Notes section has been improved without altering the existing functionality.

Key Changes:

  • Upon clicking the Notes section, the data now follows the specified sequence:
    • Profile Picture/Initials: The profile picture or initials of the user who added the notes now appears on the left side.
    • User Information: Details about the user who added the notes, including the name, note creation date, and timestamp, are presented in a single line.
    • Access Icon: Positioned on the right side, the access icon now displays an access label (such as public, protected, etc.) on the tooltip.
    • Edit and Delete Icons: Edit and delete icons remain in their designated positions, retaining their respective functionalities.
    • Expand Icon: An expand icon is now available to enlarge the Notes box and view the complete content. The expanded content seamlessly extends below the screen, eliminating the need for a scroller.
    • Title Display: The title label is prominently displayed, and the notes title appears just below the user information.
    • Category Icon Position: The category icon retains its position in alignment with the current system.
    • Box Length: The box length is fixed, ensuring a consistent and aesthetically pleasing appearance, while the height adjusts dynamically based on the content.
    • Content Formatting: The content is now displayed according to the selected formatting during the creation of notes.
  • We have enhanced the functionality of filters for the Notes. The following improvements have been implemented:
    • Filter Disable Mode: When no notes data is present, filters now appear in a disabled mode. This ensures a more intuitive user experience by preventing users from attempting to filter non-existent data.
    • Owners Filter: Users can now search individuals who have created notes.

The pop-up screen label has been updated from Search Notes added by Owners to Search Notes By Owners for clarity.

  • Category Filter: The label has been changed from Category to Notes Category on the tooltip. The pop-up screen label has been updated from Search Notes Basis on Category to Search Notes By Category.
    • Notes Category Filter: The label has been changed from Category to Notes Category. Notes category will show all category as per define in master.
    • Normal Filters: All filter parameters are now sorted alphabetically for improved organisation. Operators are now default-selected if there is one, and if multiple operators exist, the very first is auto-selected.
    • Months Filter: It is now a dropdown with all months (January to December), and multiple selections are allowed to filter notes. This replaces the previous free text input. Supporting operators now include Contains only, and earlier operators designed for free text values have been removed.
  • We have addressed the editor issue within the Notes tab as follows:
    • Now, when a user enters content in the editor, the width of the editor dynamically increases, allowing for automatic adjustments.
    • Additionally, a scroll bar has been introduced, enabling users to effortlessly scroll down and view the complete text.
    • This improvement has been implemented across all areas where notes are created. The result is a more user-friendly and responsive editor experience for creating and viewing notes.
  • Notes Title: Previously a mandatory field, the Notes Title is now optional, offering users more flexibility.
  • Description: The Description field, formerly optional, is now a mandatory component, ensuring comprehensive information capture.
  • View Notes:
    • Keyword Search: A keyword search functionality has been incorporated into the Notes screen. Users can input specific text or words, triggering the system to filter notes based on the entered keyword. This feature uses the same search functionality as in the existing application.
